UNDER THE APPLE TREES

It was such an honor to capture images of the Lesh Family. This little family of three recently moved from Seattle to Bainbridge Island. Since I spent a lot of my childhood on Bainbridge, I always love seeing fresh faces on the island since it's such a great place to raise a family. Katie Lesh is an incredible interior designer and it shows in their newly renovated home. Her minimalist and modern design style is stunningly showcased throughout their home. This was a new home announcement session as well as a family session.
I love doing these types of in home sessions because it's more journalistic and true to what their lives look like on a daily basis, rather than shooting at a park that might have less meaning to them. Looking through this gallery made me smile, their little one, Ronin's smile is contagious and I'm so glad that he had some moments to giggle throughout the session. Some of my favorite images from this session were of them under their backyard apple trees. It doesn't get anymore "homey" then that!
