OLYMPIC NATIONAL PARK BEACH ELOPEMENT

This epic day of adventure and everlasting commitment started at Oil City for Elizabeth and Matthew, both visiting the Olympic Peninsula for their first time! After taking the Olympic Hiking Co. shuttle bus from Oil City to Third Beach, they arrived and our group gathered to set our intentions for the day, along with our awesome hiking guide (and officiant), Tommy, and two other witnesses.

We started our hike and Elizabeth & Matthew's joy was so palpable. We were all feeling so grateful to have come together for such a special event in their lives. We hiked on and made our way to the beautiful and vast view of the ocean at Third Beach and continued our hike to the southern end of the beach. We were in no rush and Elizabeth & Matthew searched for unique rocks embedded in the cliffside, found a swing hung from an overhanging tree and we took a snack break.

After enjoying our time at Third Beach, we all made our way up a rope assisted cliffside ascent and onto Taylor Point. The trail was lined with ferns, heavily wooded, and offered even more stunning views of the ocean. Once we arrived at Taylor Point, Matthew waited for his bride and Elizabeth swapped her hiking gear for a beautiful white dress and had her hair braided. Some of my favorite images from the whole day were of Elizabeth walking down the trail and sneaking a peek of Matthew over the bluff. Their first look and ceremony were perfectly simple and so intentionally done, it was an honor to capture and witness every minute of it!

Once the ceremony had wrapped up and the marriage certificate was signed, our group gathered in a small clearing in the trees for a champagne toast and celebrated the newly wedded couple. The couple went on to do an instant honeymoon and backpack down the coast together for the next two nights, ending their elopement adventure at Oil City. It was such a pleasure to meet these two, their love sparked such inspiration for me and a real love of adventure elopements.
